in kentucky they do not classify javelin as an event at regional and state competitions and i dont really know why. Im a javelin thrower myself, participate in the event at every track meet my team goes to that has the event, im even ranked 1st in the state for it in class 2a and they dont have it. i think its rediculous.

It truly is since it does take a great deal of talent to throw that far, and considering being extra careful where you throw it. I guess since not enough compete in the event, they feel it won't be as lucrative as other events to bring in the revenue they need t set up these competitions. It can all come down to the root of all evil, which is money.
