Hi, I'm 5'7". I weigh 140 lbs. I'm running track and field for college as unattached for now. I'm kinda small, but I have been doing my own training. I do a lot of plyometrics and a lot of ladder work and i've running pure speed workouts. I lifted a lot too, but im not sure if it is the right type of lifting. I do the program bigger faster stronger. Well my problem is I can be leading the 100m or 60m for about half-way and then hit a wall or something and fall behind, a lot of ppl are amazed how far I can get into the lead. its not that i get tired or my legs start burning I just feel like i have no power output when i get there. So i was wondering if increasing my strength would help that and what type of training i could do to improve that.
