what is the proper weight for me to purchase a javelin? i am 62 and from just one source i found the weight of 600 grams was used for ages 60 to 69. then i find in other sources on the web 700 gram weight javelins used, but no mention of age. so now i am totally confused. most of the 600 gr javelins are for women. i did find 2 sources that mentioned 600 gram weight javelin but it did not say men or women. please help in this, seemingly simple, question. ty

According to the World Masters Rankings, which include the USA, men in the 60-69 age group throw the 600g javelin. http://www.mastersathletics.net/fileadmin/html/Rankings/Rankings_2009/2009javelinthrow.htm
